Job summary

Educato Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Wellbeing Support Worker to support secondary-aged pupils within an alternative provision in Rochdale. You’ll work alongside the wider school team to create a supportive environment where pupils feel listened to, building positive relationships and helping them develop confidence, coping strategies and resilience.

Qualifications

• Experience in pastoral support, youth work, mentoring, or wellbeing roles.
• Ability to communicate effectively with young people and build trust.
• Calm, approachable, able to respond sensitively in difficult situations.
• Understanding safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral and wellbeing support to secondary-aged pupils.
• Build positive relationships and guide pupils facing difficulties.
• Support social interactions, emotional regulation and conflict resolution.
• Encourage engagement with lessons, routines and wider activities.
• Identify concerns and communicate with school staff.
• Follow safeguarding policies and maintain professional boundaries.
