Job summary

Helix Academies Trust is seeking a Wellbeing Intervention Support Assistant to join Marple Hall School. This permanent role offers 37 hours per week during term time, with the NJC pay scale 4, points 7–11 (£27,274–£29,071) pro rata (£23,328–£24,865).

You will support students through 1:1 interventions and small groups within our Wellbeing Team. As part of the pastoral team, you will focus on barriers to learning, demonstrate empathy, and uphold high expectations and boundaries.

Responsibilities

We require an excellent practitioner to join our pastoral team as a Wellbeing Intervention Support Assistant. Working as part of our Wellbeing Team, you will support students’ learning by focusing on their barriers, perceived and actual, through 1:1 intervention and small group sessions.

The successful candidate will have commitment to young people and their development; an understanding of the issues young people face and an ability to empathise with them whilst setting high expectations and clear boundaries. You will be excellently supported by the Senior Mental Health and Wellbeing Lead and the wider Wellbeing Team which forms part of the school Pastoral Team.
