British American Tobacco UK offers an Undergraduate Intern – Wellbeing and Stimulation in Southampton for a 12-month fixed-term placement. Join our Research & Development function to support designing and evaluating consumer wellbeing products under the Ryde brand, reviewing ingredient science, running studies, and developing science content for external audiences.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Psychology, Neuroscience, Biomedical Sciences or Nutritional Sciences.
• Interest in health and wellbeing and developing consumer products.
• Knowledge of basic principles of human behavioural study design.
• Basic understanding of statistics.
• Critical thinker with excellent attention to detail and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Review scientific literature to evaluate ingredient and product development opportunities.
• Design and run human behavioural studies to assess effects on cognition and mood.
• Analyse data and interpret results to inform decisions.
• Write and present scientific findings to diverse audiences.
• Create consumer-focused science content for blogs, websites and social media.
