Job summary

BAT UK is offering an undergraduate internship – Wellbeing and Stimulation – in Southampton for 12 months. You will join our Research & Development function to help design and evaluate consumer wellbeing products for the Ryde brand, review ingredient science, run studies and develop science content for blogs and social media.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary experts to learn about developing new consumer products, gain practical experience, and be partnered with a mentor.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in psychology, neuroscience, biomedical sciences or nutritional sciences (or similar).
• Interest in health and wellbeing and in consumer product development.
• Knowledge of basic study design and ability to run/evaluate studies.
• Basic understanding of statistics.
• Critical thinker with attention to detail and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Review scientific literature to evaluate ingredient and product development opportunities.
• Design and run human behavioural studies to assess effects on cognition and mood.
• Analyse data and interpret results to inform decisions.
• Write up and present scientific findings to diverse audiences.
• Create consumer-focused science content for blogs, websites and social media.
• Learn about developing new products within a cross-functional team.
