The Royal Naval Benevolent Trust is seeking a Wellbeing Assistant (Activities) to support residents at Admiral Jellicoe House in Portsmouth. You will plan and lead a diverse programme of activities for individuals and groups, liaising with care staff and relatives to meet needs.
This is a fixed-term maternity cover lasting nine months, part-time at 18 hours per week (three 6-hour shifts). Salary is £13.45 per hour.

The Royal Naval Benevolent Trust is a Royal Navy & Royal Marine charity that gives help, in cases of need, to serving and former Royal Naval ratings and Royal Marines. We also help their partners, children and some others connected with them. Reporting to the Wellbeing Co-ordinator at the Care Home and working as part of a small, supportive team, the Wellbeing Assistant will play a key role in supporting the residents at the Care Home.
The Wellbeing Assistant will be required to provide a diverse range of activities for residents both at a group and individual level, based on individual need and capability in liaison with the residents, care staff and relatives.
Wellbeing assistants play a crucial role in care homes, providing companionship and support to residents. They are required to encourage resident engagement with relevant activities.
This role is offered on an initial 9 month fixed-term contract as it is to cover maternity leave. There may be the option for this to be extended.
