Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator for Loxley Park Care Home in Sheffield to enrich residents' daily lives through engaging activities that support physical, mental, and social well-being. You will plan monthly wellbeing and activity schedules, organise events and outings, and work with staff, relatives and visitors to encourage participation and a vibrant community.

Qualifications

• Must have driving licence and minibus driving ability.
• Experience running activities for older people.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Positive, caring attitude toward older residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of activities to engage residents’ physical, psychological and social well-being.
• Develop and submit monthly activity and wellbeing plans to the Home Manager.
• Arrange activities, events and outings with staff, relatives and visitors.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment and promote quality social care.

We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator at Loxley Park Care Home in Sheffield.

About The Role

Your focus as Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator will be to provide a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, psychological, and social well-being and to understand the need to promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents.

Other Responsibilities Will Include

• Identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support the development of a detailed life story.
• Planning and submitting to the Home Manager- a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview.
• Arranging activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
• Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.

About You

Our Ideal Candidate Must Have

• A valid driving licence and be able to drive a minibus
• Previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting
• Experience organising activities and events.
• Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• A positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
