Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Assistant for Derby Heights Care Home in Littleover, Derby. You will support the Wellbeing Coordinator to provide a wide range of activities that engage residents’ physical, cognitive and social well‑being, while helping to maintain a safe living environment and building links with the local community.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering a range of activities to engage residents’ physical, cognitive and social wellbeing.
  • Maintain a safe living and working environment and contribute to a positive home image.
  • Report changes in residents’ condition to the Wellbeing Coordinator, Home Manager and care staff.
  • Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for activities.
  • Establish links with the local community to promote intergenerational activity.

We're now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant at Derby Heights Care Home in Littleover, Deby. If this sounds like the place for you, we'd love to hear from you!

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your focus will be to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the resident's physical, cognitive, and social well-being.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
  • Reporting any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and the care staff.
  • Supporting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
  • Supporting establishing links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.
