ABOUT THE ROLE

Your role as Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator will be to deliver a variety of activities that promote the physical, psychological, and social well-being of residents, while respecting their privacy, dignity, independence, and rights.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Understanding residents’ life histories, needs, and preferences through listening to them and their families to develop detailed life stories.
  • Planning and submitting monthly activity and wellbeing plans, along with weekly overviews, to the Home Manager.
  • Organising activities, events, and outings, encouraging staff, relatives, and visitors to participate.
  • Maintaining a safe environment and contributing to the positive image of the home.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience working with older adults in a residential or nursing dementia setting
  • Experience in organizing activities and events
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
