Avery Healthcare’s Rosebery Manor Care Home in Epsom, Surrey, is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Assistant on a bank basis. You will support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering engaging activities that enhance residents’ physical, cognitive and social wellbeing.

The role emphasizes compassionate care for older adults, collaboration with care staff, and involvement with local community initiatives to enrich residents’ lives.

Qualifications

• Have effective communication skills, verbal and written.

• Have a positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to stimulating activities.
• Have previously worked with older people in a residential dementia setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the Wellbeing Coordinator by delivering a wide range of activities to engage residents’ physical, cognitive and social wellbeing.
• Maintain a safe living and working environment and contribute to the home’s professional image.
• Report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager and care staff.
• Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
• Help establish links with local communities to promote access and intergenerational activities.
