Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator for Camberley Heights Care Home in Camberley, Surrey. You will plan and deliver a diverse programme of activities to support residents’ physical, social and emotional well‑being, while upholding dignity and rights.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asWellbeing andActivitiesCoordinatorwill be toprovide a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, psychological, and social well-being and tounderstandthe needto promotethe philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice,rights,and fulfilment for all residents.

  • Identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support the development of a detailed life story.
  • Planning and submitting to the Home Manager- a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview.
  • Arranging activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
  • Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.

  • Previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting
  • Experience organising activities and events.
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
  • A positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
