Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant at Rosebery Manor Care Home in Epsom to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering diverse activities that enhance residents’ physical, cognitive, and social wellbeing.

You will play a key role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, reporting any changes, and helping to connect with local groups while fostering intergenerational engagement within the home.

Qualifications

• Must have effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Demonstrate understanding of how interaction affects wellbeing.
• Positive attitude toward older people and commitment to stimulating activities.
• Experience working with older people in a residential dementia setting.

Responsibilities

We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant at Rosebery Manor Care Home in Epsom, Surrey.

About The Role

As Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your focus will be to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the resident's physical, cognitive, and social well-being.

Other Responsibilities Will Include

• Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
• Reporting any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and the care staff.
• Supporting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
• Supporting establishing links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.
