Job summary

Bupa at Allington Court Care Home is seeking an Activity Coordinator to plan and run daily activities that enrich residents’ lives. You will manage an activity planner, work within a defined budget, and organise engaging events with local performers.

You’ll also arrange one-to-one sessions, celebrate residents’ birthdays, and help the home with its social media presence as required. A creative, energetic approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Creative thinker with ability to generate activities and manage budgets.
• Strong desire to make a difference and support residents.
• Ability to plan and organise events and activities within a budget.

Responsibilities

• Run morning and afternoon activity sessions.
• Produce and update an activity planner within a set budget.
• Organise birthday surprises for residents.
• Liaise with external entertainers and local providers for days out/events.
• Arrange one-to-one sessions using reminiscence tools, reading, or chats.
• Support home social media channels as required.
