Job summary

Allington Court Care Home is seeking an Activity Coordinator on a Bank contract within Bupa. You’ll create a vibrant, joy-filled atmosphere for residents and plan activities like arts and crafts, book clubs, and quizzes.

You’ll run sessions, update the activity planner within budget, arrange birthdays, liaise with local performers, and organise one-to-ones with residents; you’ll also support the home’s social media.

Qualifications

• You’re a creative thinker with plenty of ideas, who can also manage budgets and maintain paperwork.
• Able to prioritise tasks and support residents with care and empathy.
• Interest in caring for others and spreading enthusiasm to improve lives.

Responsibilities

• Running morning and afternoon activity sessions.
• Producing and updating an activity planner for the home, working to a set activities budget.
• Organising birthday surprises for our residents.
• Liaising with external companies and performers to organise days out/events at the home.
• Organising one to ones with residents, including reminiscence tools, puzzles, reading or tea and a chat.
• Supporting the home with social media channels as required.
