Splendid Hospitality Group is hiring an Activities Coordinator at Derwent Lodge Care Home in the United Kingdom. This part-time role focuses on supporting residents' physical, emotional and social wellbeing through engaging activities and person-centred care.

You will plan and deliver wellbeing activities, support independence and build relationships with residents and families while working with a supportive care team. Flexible shifts apply, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• You must have a caring, compassionate, person-centred approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families and colleagues.
• Ability to motivate and engage residents in meaningful wellbeing activities.
• Strong organisational and time management skills in a busy care setting.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Champion wellbeing by planning and delivering engaging activities.
• Bring activities to life with exercise, arts and crafts, music and reminiscence.
• Promote independence by encouraging participation in daily activities.
• Monitor resident wellbeing and report changes to the care team.
• Maintain a safe environment following health and safety procedures.
• Build trusted relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• Work as one team across the home and attend training meetings.
