Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant - Bank for Greensand House Care Home in Redhill. You will support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering activities that engage residents and promote wellbeing, with a focus on safety and quality of life.

The role requires effective communication, a caring attitude toward older people, and prior experience in dementia settings is desirable. DBS check will be arranged by Avery Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Have effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Demonstrate understanding of how interaction affects wellbeing.
• Maintain a positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating activities.
• Have previously worked with older people in a residential dementia setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe living and working environment, contributing to a positive image of the home.
• Report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff.
• Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
• Establish links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to promote intergenerational activity.
