Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant on a Bank basis at Silvermere Care Home in Cobham. You will support the Wellbeing Coordinator by delivering a range of activities to enhance residents’ physical, cognitive, and social well-being, while upholding the home’s values of care and compassion.

Role requires effective communication, a positive attitude toward older people, and prior experience in residential dementia settings.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Understanding of how interaction affects well-being.
• Positive attitude toward older people and commitment to providing stimulating activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe living and working environment.
• Report changes in residents’ condition to the Wellbeing Coordinator and care team.
• Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for activities.
• Help establish links with local community groups for intergenerational activities.
