Job summary

SLB seeks a Well Engineer to support planning and delivery of well construction, drilling, completion and intervention programmes in one of the UK’s largest offshore developments. You’ll work within a dedicated team to contribute to well planning, engineering design and execution readiness, coordinating multiple disciplines for efficient delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline.
• Extensive experience within Well Engineering, Drilling Engineering, Completions Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of well planning and execution processes.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• IWCF Well Control certification.

Responsibilities

• Support execution readiness activities and prepare needs lists, performance packages and quality control docs.
• Provide engineering support to drilling, completion and intervention operations as required.
• Coordinate planning and deliverables across multiple technical disciplines.
• Act as interface between SLB, customer and service providers for alignment.

Job Summary:

The Well Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of well construction, drilling, completion and intervention programmes. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will contribute to well planning, engineering design, execution readiness, and continuous improvement activities across one of the UK's largest offshore developments.

This role requires strong technical capability, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple disciplines and service lines to ensure wells are delivered efficiently and in line with customer objectives. You will work closely with SLB business lines, customer representatives, and operational teams to bring together the various elements required for successful well delivery.

The role offers excellent exposure to integrated well construction activities and provides opportunities for career progression within both technical and leadership pathways.

• Provide engineering support to drilling, completion, and intervention operations as required.

• Act as a key interface between SLB, the customer, and multiple service providers to ensure alignment across planning and operational activities.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables and planning activities across multiple technical disciplines.

• IWCF Well Control certification.

Preferred Skills:

• UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) or North Sea offshore experience.
• Completions engineering or completion operations experience.
• Experience working directly with operators or integrated project teams.
• Knowledge of well planning and engineering workflows.
• Understanding of drilling, completion, intervention, and well integrity requirements.
• Experience coordinating multiple service lines and subcontractors.
