Job summary

Derbyshire County Council's Welfare Rights Service is seeking a Welfare Benefits Officer to join the Advice Line and Appeals Team. You will provide high-quality information and advice on welfare benefits, helping residents maximise income and access support.

You will undertake appeal representation and work with partners across Derbyshire to resolve complex benefit matters and advocate on clients' behalf.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering welfare benefits information and advice.
• Ability to interpret welfare rules and explain decisions clearly.
• Experience representing clients in appeals or similar advocacy work.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents to maximise income and access support services.
