Job summary

Caterpillar Peterlee is seeking a Weld Technician to operate in a modern production environment. You will work across days, back shifts and nights with opportunities for progression and ongoing training.

Candidate should be self-driven, adaptable, and able to read engineering drawings while maintaining safety and quality standards. Regular attendance bonuses and room for permanent placement with the client are available.

Qualifications

• Welding experience with knowledge of modern welding techniques (beneficial).
• Understanding of health and safety in the workshop.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Meet targets and deadlines.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with weld compliance manager and trainers on adherence to standards.
• Work on shop floor and in office as required.
• Be flexible across dayshift, backshift and nightshift.
