Job summary

Recruit4Staff are representing their client, a leading engineering company, in their search for a Welding Supervisor to work in their Stoke on Trent facility.

The role involves supervising a team of welder/fabricators, ensuring welds meet company standards, reading drawings, and mentoring the team toward continuous improvement while stepping in on the tools when needed. The package includes a competitive £40,000 per annum salary, regular hours Mon-Fri, free parking and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience and supervisory background.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret technical plans.
• Willingness to support welding/fabrication tasks when required.
• Must be able to pass a drugs test.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of welders/fabricators.
• Ensure welds meet company standards and specifications.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
• Occasionally assist with welding tasks on the shop floor.
• Mentor staff and drive continuous improvement.
• Support rework and ensure timely delivery.
