At Cavendish Nuclear, we're working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as a Welding Quality Control Inspector at our Hinkley Point C site.

This opportunity involves working as part of the MEH Alliance on the Hinkley Point C Nuclear project, focusing on the installation of cabling and pipework across the power station.

The role

As a Welding Quality Control Inspector, you'll ensure welding standards are met on-site. Your responsibilities include reading inspection test plans, inspecting work, and producing reports.

1. Perform witnessing as required by the Inspection and Test Plans to meet project deadlines.
2. Record inspection results, highlight non-conformance, and accept or reject items.
3. Liaise with Area Quality Leads to ensure surveillance plans are followed.
4. Work with the fabrication/installation team to meet requirements.
5. Review quality records for accuracy for End of Erection Status Reports.

This is a full-time role, 38 hours per week, based at the Hinkley Point C site in Bridgwater.

Essential experience

• Experience as a QC Inspector
• Experience in a highly regulated industry

Qualifications

• Qualifications in an Engineering discipline, ONC/HNC/HND or equivalent
• PCN or CSWIP certification
• Ability to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance
