Salary: £150 - £250 per day (depending on experience)

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to apply for Lecturer roles in the field of Welding within a further education setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and practical lessons in various welding methods (e.g., MIG, TIG, Arc).
  • Ensure health and safety standards are upheld in the workshop at all times.
  • Develop course materials and assessments that align with current industry practices.
  • Track and report student progress through formal assessments and feedback.
  • Support learners in achieving qualifications and developing employability skills.
  • Maintain workshop tools and equipment to ensure a safe learning environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Hold a qualification degree or professional qualification in Welding basics and methodologies.
  • Relevant welding industry experience (essential).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of welding practices, safety protocols, and qualification standards.
  • Ability to teach both practical and theoretical content clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to build positive and respectful relationships with pupils.
  • A proactive and reflective approach to teaching and learning.
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education).
