Job Opportunity: Welding Inspector

Due to increased production, a well-established global engineering company in Sheffield is seeking a Welding Inspector to join their team. The role is based at their UK Head Office, accessible from Rotherham and Barnsley via public transport. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

1. Inspecting fillet welds using visual inspection and measuring equipment such as fillet gauges and verniers.
2. Interpreting customer requirements and reading manufacturing drawings accurately.
3. Working with bespoke components up to 15mm thick in Stainless, Mild, and Carbon Steel.
4. Maintaining a safe working environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Welding Inspector, Welding Specialist, or Welding Technician within an engineering setting. Key requirements include:

• Experience inspecting fillet welds visually.
• Previous experience in an engineering environment.
• Proficiency with measuring equipment such as fillet gauges and verniers.
