Job summary

Welder Fabricator role based near Wokingham, with a salary of £34,000 to £36,000 per year plus overtime and benefits. 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with Friday early finish.

Start and finish times negotiable, and the role is commutable from Wokingham, Bracknell, Reading and surrounding areas. Responsibilities include welding and fabrication from drawings, assessing welding positions and methods, and working with steel and aluminium sheet metal.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in fabrication and welding, including TIG and MIG.
• Experience in both small and large fabrications.
• Physically fit and willing to get hands dirty.

Responsibilities

• Welding and fabrication.
• Working from drawings and assembly instructions.
• Assess equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate welding positions and methods.
• Working with materials – sheet metal work – steel and aluminium.
• Cut materials using different methods.
• Variation of orders, currently working on a large order for clients in the USA.
• Ensuring all parts are properly fitted, aligned etc.
• Follow safety protocol, including wearing heat‑resistant gloves, protective masks, and appropriate extraction.
