Job summary

Salt Separation Services is seeking a Welding Engineer to lead welding activities and maintain the WPS system. You will coordinate across manufacturing, ensure traceability, and support engineering and quality teams with welding expertise.

The role focuses on compliant welding practices, audits, and continuous improvement within a small, family-owned business that serves desalination projects globally. On-site Rochdale location with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of welding processes and fabrication techniques.
• Familiarity with Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and weld traceability systems.
• Understanding of welding codes, standards and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate welding activities across manufacturing to meet procedures and specs.
• Maintain and control the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) system.
• Ensure welding records, traceability and calibration of equipment are up to date.
• Provide welding expertise to Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams.
• Lead continuous improvement in welding processes and quality.
