Job summary

SGS in Wales is seeking a Welding Engineer to join the team on a temp to perm basis. The candidate will serve as the RWC/Welding Authority ensuring compliance and technical assurance on project delivery.

This role involves coordinating NDT and QC activities, leading investigations into non-conformances, and overseeing welding procedure governance. Key qualifications include IWE/EWE certification, with NDT and CSWIP as preferred credentials.

The position offers Monday to Thursday working hours from 7.30am to 3.30pm and Friday from 7.30am to 12.30.

Qualifications

• IWE/EWE qualification is mandatory for the role.
• Preferred qualifications include NDT (PCN/MPI/DPI) and CSWIP.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the RWC/Welding Authority providing technical assurance.
• Coordinate NDT and QC activities ensuring compliance.
• Lead investigation and resolution of welding non-conformances.
