Job summary

Glacier Energy is recruiting a Welding Engineer for a gas pipeline and installation inspection framework, covering multiple sites. We're building our team ahead of a January/February 2027 start.

The role:

• Provide welding engineering support to the project, including welding procedures and welder qualification
• Advise on welding and inspection requirements, and review welding-related documentation
• Work alongside the inspection team and the client to resolve technical queries
• European Welding Engineer (EWE) or International Welding Engineer (IWE) qualification
• Relevant pipeline welding engineering experience
• Willing to undergo drug and alcohol testing
• Able to contract through your own Ltd company
• SHEA Gas and SHEA Cross-Country Pipelines

The package:

• Contract role for Ltd company contractors, with a competitive day rate
• 5-year framework with options to extend. Work is called off as needed, so duration varies.
• Site-based, 10-hour days, with possible shift patterns (TBC)
• Local candidates preferred. Accommodation may be available where needed.
