Job Summary

Provide Manufacturing Engineering capabilities to operational and development programs to enable and deliver zero defect projects through engineering and problem-solving skills. Responsible for delivering robust manufacturing process technology related to materials, tooling, part fabrication, and assembly.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Ensure customer requirements are fulfilled according to this manual or provide alternative procedures in product planning documents for applicable programs.
  2. Develop and evaluate Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and its qualification results.
  3. Implement visual welding inspector written practices.
  4. Administer training and certification systems for welders and welding operators, including qualification and performance evaluation.
  5. Perform inspections and verify that work and records conform to aerospace standards.
  6. Certify the qualification of welders per aerospace codes or standards.
  7. Maintain knowledge of welding fundamentals, metallurgy, symbols, drawings, NDT, and quality procedures.
  8. Verify inspection records and documentation compliance, including PQR, WPS, and NDT procedures.
  9. Witness WPS qualification, ensuring compliance with codes and contracts.
  10. Verify production welding and inspection compliance.
  11. Conduct visual weld inspections and review inspection reports.
  12. Supervise and train welding inspector assistants or visual inspectors.
Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge of quality systems like ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Welding Engineering or related field.
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Good vision acuity as per relevant standards, including color perception.
  • At least 3 years' experience with GTAW and/or EBW welding on aerospace materials such as titanium, aluminum, or stainless steel.
  • Experience with aerospace standards like AWS D17.1, AWS QC1, AWS B5.1, AWS B5.2, AMS 2685, AMS 2681, AMS 2689, or similar.
