Job Summary

Provide Manufacturing Engineering capability to operational and development programs to enable and deliver zero defect projects utilizing engineering and problem-solving skills. Responsible for delivering robust, capable manufacturing process technology related to materials, tooling, part fabrication, and assembly.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Ensure customer requirements are fulfilled by following the manual or providing alternative procedures in product planning documents for applicable programs.
  2. Develop and evaluate Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and qualification results.
  3. Implement visual welding inspector written practices.
  4. Administer the training and certification system for welders and welding operators, including qualification ranges and performance evaluations.
  5. Perform inspections and verify that work and records conform to aerospace standards.
  6. Certify welder qualifications according to aerospace codes or standards.
  7. Maintain a good understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, symbols, drawings, NDT, and quality procedures.
  8. Verify inspection records and documentation compliance, including PQR, WPS, and NDT procedures.
  9. Witness WPS qualifications and review for compliance with codes and requirements.
  10. Ensure production welding and inspection meet standards.
  11. Conduct visual weld inspections and review inspection reports.
  12. Supervise and train welding inspectors and assistants.
Job Qualifications
  1. Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000.
  2. Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  3. Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Welding Engineering or related field.
  4. Certification as Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), CAWI, or equivalent (e.g., CSWIP 3.1).
  5. Satisfactory vision as per relevant standards, including color perception.
  6. Minimum 3 years of experience with GTAW and/or EBW welding processes on aerospace materials like titanium, aluminum, stainless steel.
  7. Experience with aerospace standards such as AWS D17.1, AWS QC1, AWS B5.1, B5.2, AMS standards, or equivalent.
