The Chesterfield College Group in Chesterfield is offering an apprenticeship focused on welding and fabrication skills. As an apprentice, you will work with MIG and TIG welding on various materials, engage in component fabrication and assembly, and utilize robotic technology for welding tasks. This hands-on role provides comprehensive exposure to general fabrication techniques. A commitment of 37 hours per week is expected, with specific working hours from Friday 7:45 am to 2:15 pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on mild steel.
• Execute TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum.
• Fabricate and assemble components.
• Conduct manipulator welding tasks.
• Demonstrate general fabrication skills like sawing and grinding.
• Carry out orbital gas purged welding using a robotic arm.
