Job summary

The Recruitment Fix is seeking a Welder for our established manufacturing partner in the UK. The role focuses on welding carbon steel and stainless steel and assembling associated components. You will perform MIG and TIG welding and read manufacturing drawings to verify dimensions and specifications.

You will ensure all parts are present, correctly fitted, and meet quality standards while maintaining production schedules and communicating with key stakeholders when issues arise.

Qualifications

  • Time Served apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
  • Competency in MIG and TIG processes.
  • The ability to work with heavy metals and/or stainless steel.
  • To be able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • MIG and TIG welding of carbon steel and stainless steel.
  • Reading and understanding manufacturing drawings; verifying dimensions.
  • Ensuring parts for assembly are present and properly fitted.
  • Maintaining quality standards and production schedules.
  • Reporting and detailing product malfunctions and coordinating with stakeholders.

We are working with a well-established manufacturer who are looking for a welder who will be responsible for welding carbon steel and stainless steel as well as assembling components.

The Job
  • MIG and TIG welding
  • Responsible for welding carbon steel and stainless steel as well as assembling components
  • Reading and understanding manufacturing drawings
  • Verifying dimensions and product specifications
  • Ensuring that all the required parts for assembly are present
  • Ensuring that all the parts are properly fitted and aligned.
  • Ensuring that all quality standards are met
  • Maintaining the production schedule and managing key stakeholders' expectations
  • Reporting and detailing product malfunctions
About you
  • A Time Served apprenticeship and/or the equivalent qualifications
