Job summary

Altrad are seeking experienced welders for outage works in the United Kingdom. The role operates 13 days on, 1 day off with 12-hour shifts, mobilisation starting 05/11/2026. The position is paid under the NAECI agreement with lodge and travel paid where applicable.

You will weld high-integrity pipework, read drawings, and ensure safety and quality standards across the project. The ideal candidate has NVQ 3 in Welding or equivalent, ISO9606/ASME IX qualifications, and a valid CCNSG Safety

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Welding or equivalent
• ACE Card or equivalent certification
• ISO 9606/ASME IX qualifications relevant to project
• CCNSG Safety Passport or site safety certs
• Welding apprenticeship or vocational qualification

Responsibilities

• Carry out welding on safety-critical components and high-integrity pipework per procedures
• Read engineering drawings, welding procedures and isometrics to determine work requirements
• Prepare materials, consumables and equipment; ensure safety compliance
• Assemble and set up welding equipment using approved procedures
• Perform TIG, MMA and FCAW welding on varied materials
• Weld large bore and small bore pipework to required standards
• Inspect weld preparations and completed welds using approved methods
• Identify defects and take corrective actions
• Support inspection of weld joints and finalize testing documentation
• Maintain permits to work, risk assessments and site safety procedures
• Store and manage welding materials and equipment
• Guide and support welding trainees
• Maintain high safety, quality and workmanship standards
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients
