Job summary

Altrad is seeking experienced Pipefitters for outage works. Roles include 13 on / 1 off, 12-hour shifts, with mobilisation from 05/11/2026. NAECI-based pay with lodge and travel as applicable. You will read drawings, fabricate pipework, install valves, and ensure safety and quality across site and workshop environments.

Required qualifications include a pipefitting apprenticeship, NVQ3, ACE/CCNSG safety certs, and at least two years of fabrication and installation experience in relevant sectors.

Qualifications

• General secondary education or equivalent is required.
• Completed a recognised Pipefitting Apprenticeship or equivalent vocational qualification.
• NVQ Level 3 in Pipefitting or equivalent certification is preferred.
• CCNSG/ safety passport or site safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings to determine work requirements.
• Fabricate pipework in workshop and site environments for large and small bore systems.
• Install, replace and maintain valves and joints per specs.
• Mark out, shape, and prepare pipe components using approved tools.
• Prepare work areas and ensure safety requirements are met.
• Install and secure pipework systems per specifications.
• Inspect installations and correct defects as needed.
• Test pipework systems and record results per project needs.
• Reinstate work areas safely after activities, following permits and risk assessments.
• Support continuous improvement by reporting defects and improvement opportunities.
• Provide guidance to Pipefitter Trainees when required.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and workmanship.
