Job summary

AMLR Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Welder Fabricator / Site Installer in Cullompton, Devon. The role combines workshop fabrication with on-site installation work, focusing on stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium using MIG and TIG welding.

The successful candidate will read 2D/3D drawings, fabricate architectural and structural metalwork such as stairs and balustrades, and travel to customer sites as required. UK driving licence essential.

Qualifications

Proven welding and fabrication experience.
Strong MIG and TIG welding skills.
Experience with stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium.
Ability to read 2D and 3D drawings.
Site installation experience preferred.
Attention to detail and high workmanship standard.
UK driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

Carry out MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium.
Fabricate architectural and structural metalwork.
Manufacture and install stairs, balustrades, handrails, platforms and related metalwork.
Read and interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings and fabrication drawings.
Measure, mark out, cut, drill, weld and assemble components.
Carry out site installations of fabricated metalwork.
Ensure all fabricated components meet the required quality and dimensional standards.
Work safely and efficiently both in the workshop and on customer sites.
Use a range of fabrication tools and workshop equipment.
Liaise with colleagues, site teams and customers when carrying out installation work.
Identify and report any issues with drawings, materials or fabrication requirements.
Ensure work is completed to agreed deadlines and customer specifications.
