Job summary

Venatu Recruitment Group is recruiting for a skilled Welder Fabricator for a days-based shift in Sheffield. You will weld and fabricate to specification, reading drawings and ensuring quality workmanship in a busy workshop.

The role offers temporary ongoing work with a genuine path to permanent placement after 12 weeks, with pay dependent on experience and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Welder Fabricator or Metalworker.
• Proficient MIG welding on steel components.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out high-quality MIG welding on steel components and fabricated assemblies
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to ensure accurate fabrication
• Measuring, cutting, fitting, and preparing materials for welding
• Completing fabrication and assembly work using workshop machinery and hand tools
• Producing strong, clean welds with excellent attention to detail
• Inspecting finished work to ensure it meets quality and production requirements
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment
• Working alongside the wider production team to meet deadlines and targets

The Role

As a Welder Fabricator y you’ll use your welding and fabrication skills to manufacture products to specification, ensuring every job meets the required quality and safety standards.

Whether your strengths lie in MIG welding, fabrication, or a combination of both, we’re keen to hear from candidates who take pride in their work and want to develop their skills within a supportive workshop environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Welder Fabricator, MIG Welder, Fabrication Welder, or Metalworker

• The ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds

• Experience with fabrication, fitting, and metal preparation

• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is advantageous

• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship

• A reliable, hardworking, and team-focused attitude

• A willingness to learn new skills and contribute to the wider production team

Candidates with strong welding skills and less fabrication experience are also encouraged to apply, as relevant experience and practical ability will be considered.
