Job summary

Winner Recruitment Ltd in Sheffield is seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join the workshop team. You will perform MIG welding, fabricate components and frames from engineering drawings, and assemble machinery and parts for recycling equipment manufactured in-house.

The role requires reading drawings, using fabrication tools, and maintaining high quality workmanship in a busy production environment.

Hours: Monday to Friday

Pay:£15 +

The Role

Winner Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Sheffield.

The company manufactures a range of recycling machinery, including balers, compactors and bespoke machinery, all manufactured in-house at their Sheffield facility.

The successful candidate will work as part of the workshop team, carrying out fabrication, welding, fitting and assembly work on a range of machinery and components.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG welding and general fabrication
• Fabricating components and frames from drawings
• Fitting and assembling machinery and components
• Working with mild steel and other materials
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Measuring, cutting and preparing materials
• Using workshop machinery and hand tools
• Carrying out quality checks on completed work
• Working safely and maintaining a clean and organised workshop
• Supporting the wider production team when required

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a fabrication or welding environment and be confident working with mild steel.

You should be able to work from engineering drawings, use fabrication tools and equipment safely, and produce work to a good standard.

Experience with machinery fabrication, structural steel, heavy fabrication or bespoke engineering would be advantageous.
