Interaction Engineering in Northampton is seeking a skilled MIG Welder/Fabricator to join its structural steel division. You will weld and fabricate from detailed drawings, contributing to a range of commercial and industrial projects. You should be proficient with grinders, saws and drills, with a strong focus on safety and quality. This is a long-term, on-site role with overtime opportunities and a supportive team.

• Demonstrable MIG welding and structural steel fabrication experience.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Familiar with fabrication tools and equipment; maintain quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute high‑quality MIG welding on structural steel components
• Interpret and work from detailed fabrication and engineering drawings
• Measure, cut, assemble, and prepare steel using a variety of fabrication machinery
• Maintain strict adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards
• Work efficiently both independently and within a team to achieve project deadlines

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrable experience in MIG welding and structural steel fabrication
• Confident in reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Competent with fabrication tools and equipment, including grinders, saws, and drills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding workmanship
• Relevant qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) advantageous
• CSCS card beneficial but not essential
• Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to maintaining a safe working environment
