Connect Appointments is recruiting a Welder/Fabricator to join a globally recognised manufacturing business based in Livingston. The role involves TIG and MIG welding on diverse fabrication projects and reading detailed engineering drawings in a modern workshop.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, be proficient in MIG/TIG welding, and able to read engineering drawings; driving licence preferred but not essential.

• Proven TIG and MIG welding skills.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
• A minimum of 2 years experience as a Welder/Fabricator in manufacturing.

Job description

Salary: GBP16.5 - GBP16.5 per hour

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Welder/Fabricator to join a globally recognised manufacturing business based in Livingston.

Our client is a well-established international manufacturer with a modern, well-organised workshop and a strong team culture.

• Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4pm
• £16.50 per hour
• £1,000 sign-on bonus with a further £1,000 bonus paid after a successful review following completion of 6 months

As a Welder/Fabricator, your duties will include:

• TIG and MIG welding across a variety of fabrication projects
• Reading and working from detailed engineering drawings
• Working on general sheet metal and light fabrication work
• Using hand and power tools to trim, cut and fit components
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures at all times

To be considered as a Welder/Fabricator, you will need:

• A minimum of 2 years experience as a Welder/Fabricator in a manufacturing environment
• Proven TIG and MIG welding skills
• The ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
• A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential
