About the job and your team

Reporting to the Anodizing & Value Add Manager, the Welder Fabricator would be required to manufacture Jigs to support in the Anodising process, this will be the majority of the workload, the welder fabricator will also be required to support other areas of the site with fabrication requirements.

You will work on

• Use Welders and torches to produce heat and solder together components made from aluminium and other metals.
• Consults drawings in order to execute jobs and tasks to specification.
• Assess equipment, structures, materials and job specifications for appropriate welding positions and methods.
• Monitors equipment for appropriate usage and temperature.
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of universal standards and specifications in order to meet legal requirements.
• Operates specialised machinery for challenging contracts.
• Setting up components for welding according to specifications.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Your qualifications and skills

• Professional certification (AWS welding certificate) is essential
• Coded Welder is preferable
• NVQ in fabrication and welding is desirable
• Previous welding experience
• Experience in using a variety of welding equiptment (MIG, tig)
• Coded Welder is desriable
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
