Job Opportunity: Welder

Pertemps is supporting a reputable client in West Lothian in hiring a skilled, time-served welder.

Details:

• Pay: £16.30 per hour (dayshift), with nightshift allowance if applicable
• Location: Broxburn
• Hours: 37 hours per week
• Shifts: Monday to Thursday, 07:15 - 17:00 (Dayshift) or 21:15 - 07:00 (Nightshift)
• Contract: Temp to perm

Requirements:

Must have experience in STICK welding and proficiency in TIG or MIG welding.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Follow all quality procedures as detailed.
2. Manufacture or finish products to the correct specifications.
3. Highlight and pass for amendment any specification changes.
4. Communicate production issues to the Team Leader or Assistant Production Manager.
5. Complete product identification accurately.
6. Perform machine changeovers based on workload and production targets.
7. Maintain company housekeeping standards.
8. Resolve process faults and escalate as necessary.
9. Adhere to Health & Safety procedures.
10. Achieve output targets with over 80% efficiency.
11. Minimize rejects and customer complaints, aiming for 0%.
12. Ensure correct machine setup to prevent breakdowns.
13. Keep documentation clear and accurate.
14. Reduce recurring manufacturing problems.
