Job summary

First Call Contract Services, Ltd. in Ware is seeking a Weighbridge Operator to accurately weigh vehicles, record data, and issue tickets while ensuring regulatory compliance. The role requires strong numerical accuracy, good communication, and basic IT skills.

Shifts include 07:00-16:30, Monday to Saturday, with weekly pay. The successful candidate will maintain accurate records, monitor traffic flow, and uphold health and safety policies on site.

Qualifications

• Previous weighbridge/logistics/admin experience preferred.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Basic IT skills including weighbridge software, email and spreadsheets.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the weighbridge system accurately and efficiently.
• Weigh inbound and outbound vehicles and issue correct documentation.
• Record and maintain accurate weight, delivery, and dispatch records.
• Verify driver documentation and delivery details.
• Communicate clearly with drivers, site staff, and supervisors.
• Monitor site traffic flow and ensure safe vehicle movements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the weighbridge office.
• Report discrepancies, system faults, or non-compliance issues.
• Comply with health, safety, and environmental policies.
