Job summary

Pertemps Plymouth is seeking a reliable Weighbridge Operator in Plymouth to join a busy site on a temporary basis until December 2026. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, handling inquiries and guiding on waste acceptance procedures.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at minimum grade C/4.
• NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Excellent keyboard, IT and data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle cash and financial transactions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for customers at site.
• Handle enquiries in person and by phone.
• Provide guidance on waste acceptance procedures.
• Check documentation for compliance with legal requirements.
• Maintain high standards of customer service.
• Record vehicle types, waste streams and account information.
• Input site statistics and validate data.
• Process card payments and manage records.
• Prepare letters, reports and confidential documents.
• Support managers and colleagues with admin tasks.
• Assist with office supplies and stock levels.
• Contribute to daily banking and financial administration.
