Job summary

FCC Environment is seeking a Supervisor at a transfer station in Suffolk to support the Site Manager in daily operations, supervise staff and contractors, and maintain safety standards while ensuring customer service excellence. The role is full-time, five days a week.

Qualifications

• Experience in waste, logistics, transport or maintenance operations.
• Previous supervisory or team-leader experience.
• Experience operating heavy plant.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.

• Computer literacy and good administrative skills.
• Strong communication and numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with safe and efficient transfer station operation.
• Supervise site operatives and allocate resources to maximise productivity.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and operational procedures.
• Operate and oversee plant and equipment per company policies.
• Manage weighbridge operations and maintain accurate records.
• Support training, mentoring and development of site staff.
• Monitor housekeeping across operational and admin areas.
• Ensure agency workers, visitors and contractors receive site inductions.
• Deputise for the Site Manager when required.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist site users as needed.

As a Supervisor at FCC Environment, you will support the Site Manager in the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the transfer station. You will help manage site operations, supervise employees and contractors, maintain high health and safety standards, and ensure excellent customer service while meeting operational objectives.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?
