Wilson Recruitment Ltd is seeking a reliable Weighbridge Operative for our client in Leighton Buzzard on an immediate basis. The role involves weighing inbound and outbound loads and coordinating with site staff to ensure smooth operations.

You will ensure drivers and visitors wear PPE, monitor weighbridge issues, and maintain accurate documentation while upholding health and safety standards. Training is provided and start is immediate.

Responsibilities

• Accurately produce weighbridge tickets for all inbound and outbound loads
• Communicate with site staff via radio to coordinate vehicle loading
• Ensure all drivers and visitors are wearing appropriate PPE
• Notify drivers of any overweight vehicles
• Enforce credit stop procedures, only allowing transactions with appropriate authorisation
• Monitor and report weighbridge issues (damage, cleanliness, inaccuracies)
• Inspect inbound documentation for compliance
• Accurately complete outbound documentation in line with legislation
• Maintain a clean and tidy weighbridge office
• Ensure drivers and visitors understand and follow site rules
• Answer telephone calls professionally
• Collaborate with colleagues to operate the site safely and efficiently
• Uphold health and safety standards, including the use of PPE and reporting of incidents

New Role: Weighbridge Operative - Immediate Start

Location: Leighton Buzzard, LU7 9LF

Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:30 - 16:30 (First day start at 09:00 to accommodate trainer arrival)

Rate: £12.71 per hour PAYE or £14.25 PAYE inc holiday
