Job summary

FM Conway is seeking a Night Weighbridge Operative for our Heathrow depot to help maximise resources through weighbridge operations, scheduling and stock control. The role covers programming, transport allocation and the mixing schedule within the Aggregate and Asphalt Division.

You will work Monday to Friday, 4:30pm to 2:30am, with responsibilities including liaising with drivers, ensuring correct vehicle weights and documents, maintaining records, and adhering to health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience of working on a weighbridge and holding a full UK driving license.
• Team player with good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with lorry drivers to manage workload and schedule.
• Check weights and documents for outgoing vehicles.
• Maintain stock to meet daily requirements.
• Keep weighbridge records to company standards.
• Liaise with service coordinator to meet customer needs.
• Record goods in daily and log return loads.
• Follow health, safety and environmental policies.
• Escalate issues when needed.

Job description

FM Conway is looking to recruit a Night Weighbridge Operative to join the Aggregate and Asphalt. As our Weighbridge Operative you will assist with the programming, transport allocation and mixing schedule to ensure maximisation of all company resources and requirements. This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday- Friday, 4:30pm-2:30am at our Heathrow depot.

Duties include:

• Liaising with lorry drivers to advise them of their individual workload and schedule
• Ensuring that all vehicles leaving the site are of the correct weight and have the appropriate documents
• Maintaining stock to an optimum level to fulfil daily requirements
• Ensuring all necessary weighbridge records are maintained to company standards
• Liaising with the service coordinator to ensure all customer needs are met
• Receiving and recording goods in daily
• Recording all return loads on the system
• Complying with company health, safety and environmental policy
• Highlighting any issues appropriately

What skills and experience do you need?

We are looking for candidates who have experience of working on a weighbridge and hold a full UK driving license. To be considered for this role it is essential that you are a team player, with good verbal and written communication skills.
