Job summary

YMCA Trinity Group in Ipswich is seeking an Assistant Engagement Officer to join the Accommodation team. This weekend-only role involves planning activities, delivering engagement programmes and providing one-to-one support to vulnerable young residents.

You will work closely with Project Workers to create a safe, supportive environment, with induction, regular supervision and opportunities for progression. DBS checks are provided.

Qualifications

• High standard of communication, people and organisational skills.
• Proven ability to use IT software including Microsoft Office and online databases.
• Ability to work within a reactive environment and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist engagement and intervention programmes for young residents.
• Plan activities and provide one-to-one support to promote growth and independence.
