Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a part-time Sterilisation / Endoscopy Technician for Furness General Hospital in Barrow-in-Furness. You will decontaminate and sterilise instruments and prepare sterile packs for Endoscopy, supporting the NHS Trust and community services.

The role requires experience in accredited sterile services or training will be provided to the right candidate. You will work Saturdays and Sundays 09:00–17:30 as part of a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Technical certificate or NVQ 3 Decontamination or equivalent level of knowledge.
• Good knowledge of decontamination processes in sterile services.
• Sterile services or hospital experience; good verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and sterilise surgical instruments.
• Provide sterile procedure packs for Endoscopy and NHS Trust.
• Work as part of the Sterile Services team to support patient care.
