The Darmstadt Shelter in Kingston, NY, is seeking a Kitchen Manager to cook meals for residents on weekends, with a 20-hour-a-week schedule (Sat and Sun, 10am–8pm). This role requires hands-on kitchen work, menu planning, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked space.

Ideal candidates have a valid NYS Driver’s License, clearance background checks, and proven experience in food preparation. Prior work with homeless populations or mental health services is a plus. Compensation is $18.95 per hour.

Qualificações

• Must have NYS Driver’s License.
• Must be able to pass CPS clearance and NYS Justice Center Fingerprinting background clearance.
• Must have experience in Food Preparation.

Responsabilidades

• Cooking and food preparation, serving dinner, cleaning dishes and kitchen, and wrapping up leftovers.
• Weekly and monthly cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Assist in creating menus.
• Keeping kitchen and pantry stocked; shopping for shelter when needed.
