Job summary

Loughborough College Group, Brooksby College campus, is recruiting a Weekend Security Officer. The role is part-time, 22 hours per week on Saturdays and Sundays, with some flexibility.

You will patrol the campus, greet learners and staff, and maintain a safe environment. Candidates should have security experience on large sites, be able to work on their own initiative, and hold a valid SIA license; first aid qualification is desirable and may be pursued.

Qualifications

• Experience providing security on a large site.
• Professional approach and ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to enforce the college behaviour policy to ensure safety.
• Hold a valid SIA license and willingness to pursue first aid qualification.

Responsibilities

• Regular surveillance patrols across the campus.

Job Vacancy Weekend Security Officer - Brooksby College

Salary: £15,568.96 per annum (Based on a FTE of £26,538)

Type: Permanent - Part Time

We have an exciting opportunity for a Weekend Security Officer to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Brooksby College.

The post holder requires flexibility to work a rotational shift pattern. Working 22 hours per week over 2 days.

The shifts are Saturday and Sundays, hours will be discussed at interview. Whilst your main days of work will be Saturday-Sunday, some flexibility may be required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Regular surveillance patrols across the College campus
• Being a point of contact for learners, colleagues and visitors
• Providing a customer focused presence on site.

To be considered for the role, you will have experience of providing security and/or locking down buildings on a large site.

The ideal candidate should:

• Demonstrate their professional approach
• Be able to show your ability to work on your own initiative
• Enforce the colleges behaviour policy to provide a safer environment for all staff and student and an overall better visitor experience.
• Hold a SIA License
• Possess or be willing to work towards acquiring a recognised first aid qualification
