Job summary

Pertemps Royal Mail is recruiting Postal Delivery Drivers in Gloucester to support Royal Mail. This temporary role pays £13.69 per hour, with 30–40 hours per week, Monday to Friday and weekend availability required.

Shifts run 8am–8pm, starting at the delivery office for sorting and loading, then using a handheld device for navigation and signature capture. Deliveries are made on foot and by vehicle, up to eight miles daily.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good time management and reliability.
• Hold a UK manual driving licence with a clean record preferred.
• Licence must have been held for 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Start shift at the local delivery office to sort and load deliveries.
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle; up to 8 miles daily.
• Lift and carry mail bags and parcels up to 16–20 kg.
